YES. The gold trim and gold lettering on each of these adorable lighthouses are made with gold liquid which contains 22k gold. A special technique with very high temperatures are used to complete this process.

Is this really authentic beach sand from each of the 5 Great Lakes?

YES. The lighthouses rest on a 1 inch thick acrylic base, which is routered.
